HCL Infosystems Ltd., unveiled HCL ME U1 TABLET PC along with two more tablets, the MyEduTab - HE and
MyEduTab - K12, both targeted at students.
The Me U1 is powered by the latest and super fast Android OS 4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich), 1 GHz CPU, and has 512 MB of RAM. Its 7" capacitive screen has pixel dimensions of 800x480. Additionally, it packs in a front facing camera, Wi-Fi, 4 GB internal storage expandable upto 32GB, microSD card slot, and USB-OTG port. It has a robust 3600 mAH battery and an option of 3G data connectivity through USB Modem.The U1 is very competitively priced at Rs. 7,999/-

The other two tablets also have identical specs. However, the MyEduTab - K12 and
MyEduTab - HE (Higher Education) come preloaded with educational apps and books.
In a strange move though, HCL has priced these educational tablets higher than
the ME U1. Reportedly, the MyEduTab - K12 costs around Rs 11,499, and MyEduTab -
HE bears the price tag of Rs 9,999/-
